This season our government decided to ban some chemicals for using them as herbicides. Apparently, that drives people to find some solution to solve annual dandelion invasion issue. This time we found mechanical gadget, called Weed Puller, simple and effective – place head over the weed, step down to full depth, twist and pull weed out. After, using handle, just slide plunger that ejects weeds after pulling – exactly the way good guys reload their pump shotguns in the action movies. Done, in approximately 15 seconds.

Free of charge you will have  additional benefit – the tool aerates soil for a healthy lawn with no substantial divots and without damaging the turf.

Cost – comparable to the gallon of old good “killing-them-all” weed spray.
The time effort – the same as to spread the killing stuff out.
Physical exercise and chemical-free breathing for sure are priceless.

Well, this time came again – to blow dust from your lawn mower and bring it from garage to life.

Two years ago I came through the exchange program at Home Depot that gave me rebate of $100 for my old gas clunker towards the purchasing of new electric one. It happened to be a Neuton model 5.1,  battery powered  “green monster”. Really new thing at that time at 2007,  it has been an attractive point to collect bystanders every time I was mowing my front yard. Well, after two years I can admit – I have amazing toy! Giving you one hour of operating on one charge brings your cost down to few cents that will be siphoned off your hydro during overnight to restore the battery. No smell,  no exaust and no substantial noise.  Ah, I forgot – no wires.

P.S. And no winter maintanace except trickling the battery to keep it charged.
